This motivation led me to choose the Dolphin for its proximity to the gallery, and I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities they offered. The spacious, carpeted apartment had an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen featuring hotplates and a fridge, perfect for preparing snacks after a day of exploration. Plus, the private patio with garden views was a wonderful touch that added to the overall experience.
Facilities were very dated.

The venue was set in the central position close to the Caroline Bay and down town Timaru and restaurants. Also, Te Ana Maori Rock Art Centre Cultural Center was 3 km away.

Thank you for a pleasant stay. The staff is very helpful here, the services are exceptional, and location is handy close to trucks on the move as well as Caroline bay and the shops. I have stayed in the large apartment with comfortable beds. An iron and ironing board, a multi-channel TV, and a dining area are available...

we had a great stay at the dolphin, which turned out to be a perfect choice for our family of five. the two-story unit was spacious and had a cozy, camp-like feel with its wood interior. our kids enjoyed having their own space upstairs.
Not one thing 😕.

A nice size and well laid out room, I liked the hotel!
Location: the hotel was near to shops too, state highway 1 and truck movements all night and the town centre. Also, it was easy to find Aigantighe Art Gallery. My room included a lounge area, a microwave oven and a fridge. The bed was comfortable with electric blankets

I had a pretty nice stay! The location was super convenient, just a short walk to the downtown area, which was great for exploring. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable-definitely got good value for my money. Plus, having parking right by the unit made things easy.
The staff could really use some hospitality training. The check-in experience felt awkward and rushed, and there was a bit of noise from the nearby road that interrupted my sleep. A little more warmth from the team would really elevate the stay!

During my recent stay, I was impressed by the well-organized database, which made accessing essential information a breeze. The room with a second bedroom upstairs was spacious enough for our private belongings and included all the necessary conveniences. Although the beds were just okay, the overall comfort made it a pleasant retreat.
I found the lack of a toilet in the second bedroom slightly inconvenient. While it was a minor issue, it did require a few trips downstairs during the night.

The clean facilities, welcoming staff, and well-stocked kitchen made for a pleasant experience, although the decor felt a bit dated. While traffic noise from the main road was noticeable, the double-glazed windows helped minimize disturbance. Located centrally, we enjoyed easy access to local attractions like the Aigantighe Art Gallery and the beautiful Caroline Bay, which were perfect for family bonding moments. a relaxing stay with good value for the money!
